Lance C. Dial

Lance is counsel in the Legal and Compliance Department. As a member of the Americas team, he is responsible for legal matters relating to Wellington Management’s relationship with clients and prospects in North America, including issues regarding contracting, client investments, and marketing/advertising. He also provides advice regarding general regulatory matters in connection with the firm’s status as a registered investment adviser.

Prior to joining Wellington Management in early 2013, Lance worked as counsel at State Street Global Advisors beginning in 2007, focusing on matters relating to their mutual fund and exchange-traded fund business. Before that, he worked in private practice at K&L Gates (2004 – 2007).

Lance earned his JD from Boston University School of Law, cum laude (2004); his MBA from Boston University School of Management (2005); and his BA in history from the University of Georgia (2001). He is a member of the bar of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
