Richard Walker
Richard H. Walker is a member of King & Spalding, representing clients in matters before the Securities and Exchange Commission, including counselling, internal and government investigations, compliance issues and appellate work. Mr. Walker retired from Deutsch Bank in 2016 after over 14 years, serving as Vice Chairman, General Counsel and a member of the Group Executive Committee at different times. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, Mr. Walker worked at the United States Securities and Exchange Commission, first as Regional Director of the Commission’s Northeast Regional Office (1991-1995), then as General Counsel (1996-1998), and finally as Director of Enforcement (1998-2001). He is the only person in the agency’s history to have served in both of these senior roles. Mr. Walker is a 1972 Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Trinity College. In 1975, he was awarded his J.D. degree, cum laude, by Temple Law School, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Temple Law Quarterly.
