
Amy Purcell
Amy Purcell is Principal, Chief Privacy Officer and Deputy General Counsel at Vanguard. She leads global teams responsible for providing legal advice related to privacy, cybersecurity, technology (including artificial intelligence) and records management, as well as the implementation and operation of Vanguard’s Global Privacy, IT and Records Management Program. Amy is a member of SIFMA’s Technology and Regulation Committee, the Privacy & Data Protection Forum and the E-Communications & Records Forum.
Prior to joining Vanguard in 2016, Amy was a partner at a Philadelphia law firm where she practiced privacy and cybersecurity law for over 10 years. She earned a B.S. in Political Science from Susquehanna University and a J.D. from Cornell Law School. Amy lives in Wayne, PA with her husband and three sons, Brady, Cooper, and Mason.
