Austin Stephenson

Austin Stephenson is Counsel in the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s Division of Enforcement in the Atlanta Regional Office. He graduated from DePaul University College of Law in Chicago, where he served as editor-in-chief of the DePaul Law Review. After graduating law school, he was a law clerk to a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, and later a law clerk to a judge on the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. For several years, he worked as an attorney at Kirkland & Ellis LLP firm where he specialized in securities litigation and white collar investigations. He also spent three years working in the SEC’s Division of Corporation Finance prior to joining the SEC’s Enforcement Division.
