Sarah Fortt
Sarah E. Fortt, Global Co-Chair of the Latham & Watkins’ Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practice, has spent over a decade working with organizations in navigating potential risks and opportunities relating to ESG matters, including climate change, human rights, and corporate culture. Ms. Fortt advises and educates public and private companies and their boards on ESG-related corporate governance, crisis management and preparedness and disclosure obligations.
She regularly works with boards and c-suite members bon creating and implementing complex ESG strategies, policies and procedures, as well as creating meaningful stakeholder communications. She counsels clients in high-stakes governance situations, including board- and C-suite-level ethical concerns, emergency board and C-suite transitions, shareholder activism, and board conflict.
Ms. Fortt is an ESG thought leader, serving on the advisory boards for PracticalESG.com and the ESG Professionals Network, and editorial boards for Insights and Corporate Governance Advisor. Ms. Fortt earned her JD from Yale Law School.
