Emily Posner

Head of Conduct Risk, Wells Fargo

Emily Posner is the Head of Conduct Risk at Wells Fargo. Her scope includes enterprise-wide oversight of risk management related to sales practices, conflicts of interest, and allegations of misconduct. The Ethics Office also reports into Emily.

Prior to joining Wells Fargo in 2021, Emily served as the Head of Corporate Compliance at Raymond James, centralizing compliance program coverage across businesses and enterprise functions. She also held professional and leadership roles with Citigroup, most recently as Global Head of Compliance Oversight and Governance.

Emily previously practiced law at the global firm Jones Day, where she represented financial institutions and senior corporate officers in civil and criminal matters and counseled financial institutions and corporations regarding effective compliance programs, corporate governance matters, and investigations.

While at Jones Day, Emily led volunteer efforts to provide free legal help to women living in poverty, driving growth of the program from six to over 100 volunteers in less than a year. She has also served as Executive Co-Sponsor of the Compliance Diversity & Inclusion Committee at Raymond James.

Emily earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University, where she was a Presidential Research Scholar, and a J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where she served as editor-in-chief of the Cardozo Arts and Entertainment Law Journal. Emily currently serves on the Cornell University Communication Advisory Board. Emily resides in New York City.
