Cory Colvin
Cory Colvin is an Executive Market Director in Baird’s Private Wealth Management business. He has nearly 25 years of experience in the financial services industry and has been with Baird since 2005. Cory is a member of the PWM Executive Leadership Team. He is responsible for leading the Western US market which includes CA, WA, OR, TX, AZ, CO, UT & AK. In addition to his market, Cory plays a large role in helping develop and lead PWM’s leadership development strategy.
Background
Since joining Baird, Cory has worked in a variety of leadership roles – from PWM Research to Business Development Consulting to leading PWM’s Growth Strategy, and eventually leading numerous markets across various geographies. The common thread across these roles is a singular focus on serving Advisors. Prior to Baird, Cory began his career with what is now Allspring Global Investments. He then joined a start-up management consulting firm which focused on the asset management industry, and then later worked for a large US based hedge fund where he focused on institutional sales and client service.
Education/Licensing
Cory earned his MBA from Marquette University’s Graduate School of Management and his BBA in Finance & Marketing from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh. Cory is a CFA charterholder and is a member of the CFA Society of Milwaukee. Cory also holds the FINRA Series 3, 6, 7, 9, 10, 24 and 63 licenses.
Personal
Cory and his wife Megan have been married for 20 years. They have a daughter, Isabel and a son, Ozzie. In addition to spending time with his family, Cory snowboards, competes in triathlons, and races Cyclocross. Cory currently co-chairs the SIFMA Private Client Services Committee which represents the interests of wealth management organizations of all sizes across the US. He has served on the Board of the SE Wisconsin Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and is active in the United Way.
