Lyle Logan

Vice Chairman, Northern Trust

Lyle is Vice Chairman of Northern Trust, a leading provider of wealth management, asset servicing, asset management and banking services for corporations, institutions, families and individuals.

Previously, Lyle was the Head of the Global Strategic Relationship Management group, which encompassed responsibility for enterprise-wide relationships with global financial institutions. This included both the Network Management group, which administers and controls global and local custodian services on behalf of Northern Trust clients, as well as The Northern Trust International Banking Corporation (TNTIBC) which provides customized international payments and an array of multicurrency services to institutional entities globally.

From 2005 to 2009, Lyle was the Managing Director of Institutional Sales and Client Servicing for Northern Trust Global Investments (the asset management arm of Northern Trust Corporation). As Managing Director, he oversaw the growth and development of the NTGI Institutional Sales and Client Servicing business unit. Prior to this role, Lyle was Senior Vice President and Head of Chicago Private Banking within Personal Financial Services. As part of the management team, he oversaw the business unit’s growth strategies and focused on the development and marketing of Northern Trust’s array of services to current and prospective clients.

Prior to joining Northern Trust in 2000, Lyle worked at Bank of America (formerly Continental Bank) in Chicago, where he held several leadership positions as a Senior Vice President in the Private Bank and Domestic Portfolio Management Group.

Lyle holds a B.A. degree in Accounting and Economics from Florida A&M University and an M.B.A. degree in Finance from the University of Chicago. Lyle’s community involvement activities include serving on the boards of Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, National Geographic Society, Heidrick and Struggles, Adtalem Global Education, Chamberlain University, The Chicago Club, and The Field Foundation of Illinois.
