
Matt Billings
Matt Billings is a seasoned financial industry leader with over 30 years of experience in trading & brokerage, operations, and market structure. Beginning his career on the exchange floors of Chicago, Matt developed a deep, hands-on understanding of the mechanics of trading. His extensive industry engagement, regulatory expertise, and strategic insights provide him with a unique perspective on how markets function and impact traders and investors.
As Vice President of Brokerage and President of Robinhood Financial and Robinhood Securities, Matt oversees the broker-dealer operations, ensuring compliance, innovation, and execution across the retail trading experience. Prior to joining Robinhood, he played a key role at Two Sigma Securities, leading the Wholesale Market Making team with oversight of trade/service desks and client relationships, while also focusing on market structure and market data. Before that, Matt led market data strategy at TD Ameritrade, while also driving the firm’s approach to market structure and government relations. Earlier in his career, he spent over a decade at Scottrade, where he was responsible for all trading services, order routing, execution quality, and market data.
A recognized leader in the financial industry, Matt is an active member of STA, FIF, and SIFMA. He holds multiple FINRA registrations (Series 7, 4, 24, 57, and 63) and has completed executive leadership programs through Washington University and the Securities Industry Institute at Wharton. Matt earned a Bachelor’s degree from Saint Norbert College and an MBA from DePaul University.
