Jaliya Faulkner

Principal, Head of Litigation, Enforcement & Investigations, Vanguard

Jaliya Faulkner is a Principal and Deputy General Counsel at Vanguard where she leads the Litigation, Enforcement, and Investigations team. Her team partners with business leaders to protect the company’s interests and reputation in litigation matters, government and regulatory investigations, and internal investigations. Jaliya joined Vanguard in 2015 and has held several roles including Chief of Staff to the General Counsel.

Prior to joining Vanguard, Jaliya was in private practice in Atlanta representing investment advisers and broker-dealers in regulatory investigations, enforcement actions, and related litigation. Jaliya clerked for the Honorable Carl E. Stewart on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. She earned an A.B. from Princeton University and a J.D. from New York University School of Law.

Jaliya also serves on the Board of Directors for COMHAR, Inc., a non-profit social services agency based in Philadelphia. She lives in Villanova, PA with her husband and three children.
