Andrea Griswold
Since May 2023, Andrea Griswold has served as the Deputy United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York. She previously served as the Chief Counsel to the United States Attorney where she coordinated SDNY’s FTX Task Force across multiple units in the Criminal Division. Prior to serving as Chief Counsel, Ms. Griswold served for two years as Chief or Deputy Chief of the Securities and Commodities Fraud Task Force where she led a series of significant individual and corporate prosecutions, many focusing on fraud involving private funds, cryptocurrency, digital assets and SPACs. Prior to serving in leadership, she investigated and tried to verdict a series of complicated securities fraud matters involving accounting and valuation fraud, market manipulation, and Ponzi schemes.
Ms. Griswold previously worked for five years as an associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett and holds degrees from Georgetown University and New York University School of Law.
