Brendon Tavelli

Executive Director, Assistant General Counsel, JPMorgan Chase & Co.

Brendon Tavelli is an Executive Director, Assistant General Counsel in the Legal Department of JPMorgan Chase & Co., based in Wilmington, DE.  He is the firm’s lead privacy counsel for the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean.  With a special emphasis on the handling of personal information, Brendon works with stakeholders across the firm on the privacy and information security components of product development and launch, policies and procedures, training, contracts, customer disclosures, and incident response.

Prior to joining JPMorgan, Brendon was a Litigation associate in the Privacy & Data Security Practice Group of Proskauer Rose LLP.  While at Proskauer, Brendon counseled clients across industry sectors on a wide variety of matters related to federal and state privacy and data security obligations.

Brendon is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and The George Washington University Law School.  While at GW, he served as the Executive Managing Editor of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) Quarterly Journal.  He holds a CIPP/US certification from the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
