Cedric Grant

Since 2019, Cedric has worked as a lobbyist at Subject Matter. He advises companies in almost every industry and leads Subject Matter teams that assist clients in navigating the legislative and regulatory bodies in Washington, DC. Cedric excels at policy formulation, strategy development, and outreach to House Democratic Leadership.

Prior to joining Subject Matter, Cedric spent five years as chief of staff to Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY). Under the Obama Administration, Cedric was a political appointee as the Director of the White House Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships at the U.S Department of Commerce. He has also worked as a leadership liaison and policy advisor for the House Ways and Means Committee, and senior advisor to former Rep. Charles Rangel (D-NY). Cedric’s impressive experience working with leaders in both the government and corporate sectors provides a broad-based strategic perspective that can help clients as they advocate on any policy issue.
