Daniel Silver
Daniel Silver is a Litigation & Dispute Resolution Partner in the New York office of Clifford Chance, where he focuses on white collar criminal defense and regulatory investigations. Dan joined Clifford Chance from the United States Attorney’s Office in the Eastern District of New York, where he served in several senior leadership roles, including as Chief of the National Security and Cybercrime Section. In the US Attorney’s Office, Dan supervised a team of more than one hundred federal prosecutors, led complex cross-border investigations, conducted more than a dozen jury trials, and argued numerous appeals. Dan is a past recipient of the New York City Bar Association’s Stimson Medal, one of the most prestigious awards given to federal prosecutors in New York City, and the FBI Director’s Award for outstanding performance in a counterintelligence investigation. In private practice, Dan represents individuals and corporate entities in matters before the DOJ, the SEC, and other federal and state enforcement agencies. Dan also conducts internal investigations, and counsels clients on risk mitigation strategies with respect to cybersecurity, anti-corruption, sanctions and anti-money laundering issues. Dan graduated from Brown University and received his law degree, magna cum laude, from New York University School of Law.
