Ellen Greene

Ms. Greene is Managing Director, Equity and Options Market Structure at SIFMA. As staff advisor for both the Equity Markets & Trading Committee and the Listed Options Trading Committee, Ms. Greene drives SIFMA’s advocacy on behalf of members. Ms. Greene also leads SIFMA’s advocacy work on the Consolidated Audit Trail.

Ms. Greene joined SIFMA in August 2012 from Nasdaq, where she was a Vice President in Transaction Services. At Nasdaq, Ms. Greene was the head of broker dealer sales, with responsibilities for its equity and options exchanges. Ms. Greene was part of a small team responsible for the launches of two successful new exchanges, PSX and Nasdaq Options Market.

Prior to joining NASDAQ, Ms. Greene worked in Corporate Relations at the American Stock Exchange.  Ms. Greene began her career on the equity syndicate desk in the capital markets division at Merrill Lynch.

Ms. Greene earned her MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business and her BA from Colby College.
