Grace Powers
Grace Powers is SVP, Assistant General Counsel and Section Leader for the eCommerce, Innovation & Technology Section. She and her teams have enterprise legal responsibility for Wells Fargo’s technology, digital and innovation products, services and initiatives that support Wells Fargo’s customers, business partners and employees.
Prior to joining Wells Fargo in 2016, Grace was SVP, Associate General Counsel at Bank of America, where she was managing attorney for the consumer and small business digital channels, including payments, digital wallets and innovation, and the enterprise subject matter expert on E-Sign and UETA. Previous roles included serving as an eCommerce attorney at a mortgage company, product counsel for a lending/mortgage origination software company and, in private practice, as a bankruptcy and creditor’s rights attorney.
Grace has held a variety of leadership roles with the American Bar Association, Business Law Section currently serving on Council and as Chair of the Corporate Counsel Committee’s In-House Strategic Initiatives. She is also active in policy and advocacy initiatives with Wells Fargo’s trade associations and is Wells Fargo’s designated Digital Channels Committee Member for the Consumer Bankers Association. She is a frequent speaker on electronic financial services, open banking, payments, and innovation.
