Henry Schwartz is Vice President of Market Intelligence at Cboe Global Markets, Inc. (Cboe). He is a seasoned trader, innovator and derivatives industry thought leader. He joined Cboe following its acquisition of Trade Alert, a market data company he founded after 15 years in the industry.

In his role, Mr. Schwartz analyzes trends, uncovers opportunities, and delivers data-driven insights to banks, market makers, brokers, and proprietary trading firms. With a deep expertise in both internal and public market data, he identifies trading patterns and market shifts, shaping strategic decision-making. A sought-after speaker at global industry conferences, he frequently presents on market dynamics, trading strategies, and quantitative analysis, while also engaging with financial media and thought leadership events.

Mr. Schwartz began his career on the Cboe trading floor in the 1990s as a runner, quickly advancing to market-making roles in New York, Frankfurt, and Paris. He later led index trading desks at Salomon Brothers and Bear Stearns before spearheading the launch of Bank of America’s electronic market-making business during the rise of market automation in the late 1990s. In 2005, Mr. Schwartz founded Trade Alert, a pioneer in real-time tools for analyzing options market activity, which gained widespread adoption and led to its successful acquisition by Cboe.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from UC San Diego and an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business. He remains deeply committed to fostering innovation through partnerships with the academic and financial communities.
