James Hardy
James Hardy is executive vice president and chief data and resiliency officer for State Street Corporation, where he is responsible for developing and overseeing the build-out and operationalization of our Enterprise Resiliency Strategy and Framework. Key components of this framework include Business Continuity, Third Party Risk Management, Identity and Access Management and Data Governance, and Management. He leads a portfolio of regulatory compliance, client lifecycle and data governance and management transformation programs.
James has over 30 years of Business and Technology consulting and management experience within the financial services industry. He served as both chief information officer and chief operating officer for State Street Global Markets.
Prior to joining State Street in 2003, James was a Senior Executive in a financial technology consulting services company where he was responsible for sales and delivery. He also held senior positions at Arthur Andersen Business Consulting and the international systems division of Bank of International Services (BIS) Banking Systems. James serves as a chair of the Technology Advisory Committee for the Greater Boston Food Bank.
James holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electronic engineering and mathematics from the University of Reading, United Kingdom and a Master of Business Administration in finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
