Jeffrey J. McManus
Jeffrey J. “Jeff” McManus is a Global Financial Crimes Risk Manager for Bank of America, one of the largest financial institutions in the world. In this role, Jeff is a member of the team responsible for driving the execution of the anti-money laundering program through the Consumer/Small Business and GWIM businesses and evaluating and mitigating risks presented by those businesses. Jeff’s areas of coverage include the domestic side of Merrill Lynch Wealth Management as well as Merrill EDGE/Consumer Investments, the online brokerage trading platform in Bank of America’s retail banking division.
Jeff joined Bank of America in December 2006 as a Senior Compliance Manager in Premier Banking & Investments (PB&I) where he served as the primary point of contact with Global Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Wealth Management Banking. In this role he was responsible for bringing together various control functions related to several aspects of the AML Program including advice and guidance around client escalation matters and suspicious activity. During this time he also served as the PB&I Privacy Officer responsible for the management, investigation, and resolution of all violations of Information Protection Policies, including Non-Public Information. Jeff joined the Global Financial Crimes group in 2010 as a Compliance Specialist and assumed his current role as Director in February 2019.
Prior to joining Bank of America, Jeff was a Senior Fraud Auditor for Liberty Mutual Group in Boston, MA where he was the senior member of the Fraud Detection & Investigation Unit charged with protecting the Company’s assets, personnel, and reputation by investigating allegations of employee impropriety for all of the Company’s business units and employees worldwide.
Jeff has the Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) designation and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Northeastern University in Boston in 1999. Jeff is an active volunteer with Little League International and serves on the Board of Directors for Amesbury, MA Little League. He and his wife Nicole have three children and live in Amesbury, Massachusetts.
