
Jim Collins
Jim Collins joined Raymond James in 2019. At Raymond James, Jim assists investment bankers with drafting and negotiating engagement letters, non-disclosure agreements and other contracts and advising on fairness opinion matters. Jim also oversees legal matters for Investment Banking in Europe and assists with other Investment Banking projects. Prior to joining Raymond James, Jim was General Counsel and Head of Operations at Silver Lane Advisors, a boutique investment bank. While at Silver Lane, Jim was primarily responsible for Silver Lane’s legal matters, as well as day-to-day operations within finance, accounting, compliance, HR and operations. Prior to Silver lane, Jim was a mergers & acquisitions Partner in the New York office of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, focusing on M&A within financial services. Jim’s legal experience included representing public and private entities, including financial services firms, technology companies and private equity sponsors, in mergers and acquisitions, private and public equity and debt financings, securities offerings, securities law compliance and reporting, and other general corporate matters. Jim received his BA in Economics from College of the Holy Cross and his Juris Doctor from NYU School of Law.
