Joelle A. Simms
Joelle A. Simms is a principal in the Fort Lauderdale office of Bressler, Amery & Ross, P.C. and focuses her practice on securities and commercial litigation. Joelle represents financial institutions and registered representatives in customer and employment disputes, including expungement proceedings, in state and federal court, and in arbitration proceedings nationwide before FINRA. She is a member of Bressler’s Senior and Vulnerable Investor Group, which provides counsel to corporate clients who confront issues affecting seniors. Joelle also has experience defending corporate clients in complex commercial and tort litigation in state and federal courts. She is admitted to practice in Florida and Texas.
Joelle serves on the advisory board for the Southeastern Women in Financial Services organization and volunteers with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s South Florida chapter. In 2017, she was a recipient of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s “40 Under 40 Outstanding Lawyers of South Florida” award.
A cum laude graduate of the University of Miami School of Law, Joelle was a Dean’s Merit Scholarship recipient and served as a staff editor of the University of Miami Law Review. She received her undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Richmond, where she was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa.
