Katie Gibney is Head of Product for Trade & Cost Basis at Vanguard, serving personal investor and advised clients. She oversees the comprehensive trading and cost basis ecosystem, ensuring seamless order entry and trade execution across all product types for Vanguard’s 9 million clients. In her role managing these critical services, Katie is responsible for setting strategy and transforming the client experience.

With 12 years of experience at Vanguard, Katie has held key positions in brokerage operations, compliance and regulatory oversight, trading, and client services. Her extensive experience and leadership have been instrumental in driving innovation and modernization for the broker-dealer.

Katie holds an M.B.A. and a B.S. in business accounting from the University of Phoenix and is a participant in the SIFMA Securities Industry Institute at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Outside of her professional life, Katie is a dedicated wife and mother of two boys, and enjoys hiking the trails of Arizona.
