Michael Herde joined Schwab as Chief Compliance Officer in April 2018, having spent the previous 20 years in compliance leadership roles helping financial institutions adapt to the evolving US and global regulatory environment. Previously, Michael practiced law as a securities enforcement attorney with NASD Regulation and Wilmer Cutler & Pickering. He and his wife have four children and recently became empty nesters.
