Michelle Goldstein
Michelle Goldstein was named Head of Morgan Stanley State Government Relations in April 2016. In that role she represents the firm nationally and advises senior management on risks due to potential State legislative or regulatory action.
Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Goldstein was the head of State and Local Government Affairs at BNY Mellon. From 2010-2013, Michelle was Mayor Bloomberg’s chief advocate and strategist on all matters before the Obama Administration and the U.S. Congress. She played a central role in the work to shape the national policies the Mayor targeted as priorities. Before being appointed to that position, she served as a member of the Mayor’s senior management team as the Director of State Legislative Affairs, where she managed lobbying operations in Albany.
Michelle received a BA from the University of Michigan and a MPA from the Baruch College School of Public and International Affairs, where she currently serves on the Dean’s Advisory Board.
