Mike Edge

Mike Edge is Chief Financial Officer of HilltopSecurities, responsible or the firm’s accounting, finance and treasury efforts. He is a Certified Public Accountant with more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry.

Prior to the merger of Southwest Securities (SWS) and FirstSouthwest, Mr. Edge served as SWS Group’s Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer where he played an integral role in SWS Group’s finance and investor relations functions. He joined SWS in 2000 and held various positions throughout his 15 years with the company, including internal auditor, financial analyst, Director of Finance and Investor Relations, Senior Vice President of Finance and Investor Relations, and Executive Vice President of Finance.

Prior to Mr. Edge’s tenure with SWS, he began his career in the financial industry as an Assistant Vice President, Senior Risk Analyst with Bank One.

Mr. Edge earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Texas A&M University and a Master of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University, where he was a member of the international honor society Beta Gamma Sigma. He is a graduate of the Securities Industry Institute at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and holds series 7 and 27 securities licenses.
