Raphael Prober
Rafi Prober is co-head of Akin’s bipartisan Congressional Investigations practice. He advises a wide variety of companies, institutions and individuals in high-stakes and complex congressional and other governmental investigations. Operating at the intersection of law, policy, and crisis communications, Rafi has been involved in many of the highest profile investigations of the last two decades. He is Ranked Band 1 in Chambers USA and is described as “a go-to lawyer for anyone being investigated or appearing before Congress.”
Rafi’s practice builds on his experience as an Associate Deputy Attorney General at the DOJ, where he oversaw congressional investigations and oversight for the Department. Rafi also maintains a robust pro bono practice, having led Akin’s representation of hundreds of Holocaust survivors and family members in their pursuit of justice from the French railroad company SNCF (recently profiled in the award-winning podcast Covering Their Tracks).
Rafi received his J.D. cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center.
