
Steve Crutchfield
Steve Crutchfield is Head of Business Development globally for Chicago Trading Company (CTC), a proprietary trading firm. CTC provides liquidity in exchange-traded derivatives across multiple global markets in asset classes including equity index and ETF options, single-name equities, fixed income options and futures, volatility, and commodities. Steve’s previous leadership roles at CTC have included leading the firm’s equity options and cross-asset futures trading desks.
Prior to joining CTC in 2016, Steve was an Executive Vice President at the New York Stock Exchange, where he oversaw the NYSE Arca and Amex options exchanges, the Global Index Group, and NYSE’s industry-leading ETF business. Mr. Crutchfield was also CEO and a member of the Board of Directors of NYSE Amex Options LLC, and the Board of Directors of the Options Clearing Corporation (OCC).
Before joining NYSE, Steve was Chief Operating Officer at Matlock Capital LLC where he supervised trading, quantitative research, and technology. He has also served as board director for the NYSE American exchange (2018-2024), the IMSA Fund for Advancement of Education, and Hull Investments, LLC. He started his career on the floor of the CBOE.
Steve holds an MBA in Econometrics and Analytic Finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, an MS in Computer Science from Stanford University, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the Johns Hopkins University, and was named one of the Crains New York Business “40 Under Forty”.
