
Tyler Wry
Tyler Wry is an Associate Professor of Management at the Wharton School. Tyler’s research studies social enterprise and impact investing, with a special focus on how entrepreneurs and funders make strategic decisions that simultaneously maximize impact and financial returns. Tyler’s work has been published in all the major academic journals and he is featured regularly in the popular press. His dissertation won the Society for the Advancement of Management Studies award for the most innovative management research worldwide. He currently serves on the Editorial Boards of the Academy of Management Journal, Administrative Sciences Quarterly, Organizations and Environment, and Organization Science. Tyler has received the Wharton Teaching Excellence Award each of the last six years, and he is one of a few Wharton faculty who have won the “Tripple Crown” for being among the highest rated professors in each of the Undergraduate, MBA, and Executive MBA programs. He is the Director of the Wharton Impact Investing Research Lab, Academic Advisor for Social Entrepreneurship at Venture Lab, and a Founding Partner at IF Ventures, a pre-seed stage fund that finds and supports young founders who are developing scalable solutions to society’s biggest challenges.
