Wade Dougherty

Managing Director – FICC Legal, Goldman Sachs

Wade Dougherty is a Managing Director in the FICC legal group at Goldman Sachs in New York and covers various cash businesses within its Global Markets business, including desks in Rates, Credit, Emerging Markets and Mortgages. Wade joined Goldman Sachs in 2013 as a Vice President and was named Managing Director in 2021. He is also a member of SIFMA’s Credit and Rates sub-committees.
Wade was previously a Managing Director and head of Investment Banking Legal at Oppenheimer & Co. (formerly CIBC World Markets Corp.). He began his legal career in 1998 as an associate at Shearman & Sterling LLP, where he worked in the Capital Markets departments in the firm’s New York and Paris offices.

Wade earned a BA in Political Science from McGill University in 1993, and Common Law (LLB) and Civil Law (BCL) degrees from McGill University in 1998.
