Summary of Treasury’s September 2019 Report on Housing Finance Reform

On September 5, 2019, the US Department of the Treasury published a paper detailing it’s views on the path forward for both administrative and legislative housing finance reform. SIFMA prepared this summary on a rush basis to provide an overview of key aspects of the report, in particular those which impact MBS and secondary markets.
