The Association for Financial Markets in Europe1 (“AFME”) and the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (“SIFMA”)2 welcome the opportunity to comment on the European Commission’s draft implementing decision (the “Implementing Decision”) on standard contractual clauses for the transfer of personal data to third countries pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the “New SCCs”) published by the European Commission on November 12, 20203 as input for the final Implementing Decision and New SCCs4.
