Reopening & Extension of Comment Periods for Rulemakings Implementing Dodd-Frank Act

Summary

SIFMA and other trade associations provide comments to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) on a proposal for the reopening and extension of comment periods for rulemakings implementing the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (Dodd-Frank Act), Federal Register May 4, 2011.  The groups strongly urge the CFTC to re-propose the CFTC Proposed Rules, along with an implementation timetable and guidance on the extent of their extraterritorial application, to allow an additional comment period after the rule proposals have been amended to reflect comments received.
