SIFMA provides comments to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on a proposed rule change relating to the incorporated NYSE rules, also known as the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Harmonization Filing, SR-FINRA-2008-036. The proposal is intended to reduce regulatory duplication. While SIFMA supports the proposal’s intent, but notes that in order for the proposal to be effective, the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) must adopt corresponding rules.
